The farm-to-table movement has taken the country by storm. A byproduct of this movement is the trend of farm-to-table fundraisers featuring a multi-course meal prepared by celebrity chefs using local farm-sourced ingredients.
This is one trend I hope will continue, especially when the fundraisers benefit worthy causes like The March of Dimes. The nonprofit organization and Grady Health System are the beneficiaries of the upcoming The Farmer & The Chef 2015 fundraiser September 19.
Top chefs Kevin Rathbun, Todd Ginsberg, Eli Kirshtein, Franck Steigerwald and Andrea Litvin will prepare a five-course gourmet dinner with ingredients from local farms. Tickets are $500.
