Yesterday, Interim DeKalb CEO Lee May spoke at the grand opening of Columbia Senior Residences at Forrest Hills in Decatur about the growing senior population.
One quarter of the county’s population is senior-aged, so creating an inviting place for them to call home, host their family and be able to enjoy life is imperative.
Columbia Residential’s latest senior residence, which has 80 apartments, a business center, fitness center, theater, hospitality suite and a community garden, is a haven for seniors in the area. It is also the first community in the U.S. to create units under the HUD RAD program.
