Every January, Atlanta pauses to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a native son whose dream reshaped a nation.
The King Center will honor Dr. King with its 40th King Holiday Observance, featuring in-person and virtual events leading up to the official holiday on Monday, Jan. 20. Several parades will fill the streets with music, dance and vibrant banners, embodying the spirit of unity and progress. And local organizations will host service projects, encouraging Atlantans to give back in Dr. King’s honor.
This day is a powerful reminder of the ongoing journey toward justice and equality, keeping Dr. King’s dream alive.
