An unforgettable journey of survival, ingenuity and hope

Experience the awe-inspiring “Desert Elephants,” opening Jan. 18 at Fernbank Museum. This captivating giant-screen film follows Little Foot, a month-old elephant calf, as she and her family navigate the harsh realities of life in Namibia’s Namib Desert, a landscape nearly twice the size of Texas.

Through breathtaking cinematography and expert storytelling, filmmaker Paul Phelan showcases the ingenuity and resilience of one of the world’s only desert-adapted elephant populations. Once numbering thousands, these elephants now total just 150, making each birth a beacon of hope.

Audiences will witness the herd’s extraordinary survival skills and the deep family bonds crucial for survival.
