The James Beard Foundation, which celebrates and supports excellence in food culture across the nation, announced the 2024 semifinalists for its annual Restaurant and Chef Awards. A total of six Atlanta restaurants and chefs were recognized for their exceptional culinary arts quality, service and hospitality, sustainability, and commitment to racial and gender equity.
Best Chef: Southeast (GA, KY, SC, TN, WV) semifinalists from Atlanta include:
– Arnaldo Castillo, Tio Lucho’s
– Erika Council, Bomb Biscuits
– Rod Lassiter and Parnass Savang, Talat Market
– Duane Nutter, Southern National
Outstanding Chef:
– Atsushi Hayakawa, Hayakawa
Outstanding Hospitality:
Award winners will be announced Monday, June 10.
