Local food scene gives back during difficult times

by The 100 Companies

We all know restaurants have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, almost all Atlanta eateries have switched to delivery or takeout only, just trying to stay afloat. So, it’s inspiring to see these same struggling teams still giving back to others.

For example, Buckhead’s Mission + Market is offering free meals each Thursday for people who have lost jobs and feeding homeschoolers for $5 every Tuesday. Staplehouse, working with Giving Kitchen, opened “The Giving Soup Kitchen,” offering no-cost meals to service industry workers. And, Emerald City Bagels gave away six-packs of bagels to displaced restaurant industry workers.
