Nestled on the corner of 15th and Peachtree in the heart of Midtown is a tiny green oasis, complete with blooming flora, seating with umbrellas and a statue. This urban retreat is just one of Atlanta’s many pocket parks.
To design a truly great city, including pocket parks is key. Unlike large parks, they can be easily scattered throughout a city, providing the community with accessible, green spaces, albeit on a smaller scale. Parks large and small are attributed to improved mental health, healthier lifestyles and economic development.
