On most nights in Jamaica street vendors grill jerk chicken on converted oil drums – turning busy streets into drive-thrus. Nothing is better than pulling over, ordering a large portion of jerk chicken, slathering it with sauce and washing it down with a cold Red Stripe beer.
The 10th Annual Grace Atlanta Caribbean Jerk Festival and Family Fun Day returns to capture that same spirit and crown Atlanta’s Top Jerk Chef September 6 at Panthersville Stadium. The event features crafts, produce market, kids’ activity area and Caribbean music from local and national performers.
Tickets: $20 in advance, $25 at the gate.
