Last week, I decided to make some long-pondered changes.
As the day continued, I felt great about it. I went to take a walk with my pooch and took a nasty fall – no ice in sight. I broke my right ankle, fractured my left ankle and bruised way more than my ego. It was a Matrix-like experience: Snap, snap, drop – clean break, no surgery, with two weeks of no weight, complete bedrest and more care to follow.
Stopping me in my tracks, the universe had other ideas, giving no ability to do more than heal and be still to listen.
