Have you been dreaming of a White Christmas in Atlanta? Unfortunately, dreams are as close as we typically get to seeing snow on Dec. 25. In fact, in recent history, the only year snow actually fell on Christmas day was in 2010 when metro Atlanta saw 1.3”.
Before that miraculous day, the closest thing to a snow-filled Christmas Atlantans received was an ice storm in 1962 and a low temperature of zero in 1983. The hottest Christmas day in Atlanta? A high of 75 in 2015.
If snow is on your list this year, you’re probably better off heading north for the holidays.
