Record Attendance Cause for Reflection

Earlier this month, soccer proved its worth in the South when Atlanta United broke the single-game attendance record for an MLS match.

The record adds to a list of accomplishments in Georgia sports, a list dating back to 1892 when the second intercollegiate football game in the South was played between the University of Georgia and A&M College of Alabama.

Thirty-eight years later, Atlanta native Bobby Jones became the first and only golfer to to complete the Grand Slam, winning all four majors in the same calendar year. What legend of Georgia sports will be born next?
