Make volunteering a team-building activity

by

April is National Volunteer Month, but you don’t need to limit your time helping others to 30 days.

A good way to get into the volunteering spirit is to make it an office activity. Not only are you serving your community or a group in need of support, but you’re building camaraderie and trust – and maybe getting out of the office for a few hours.

To get started, ask around if anyone has a favorite charity or nonprofit organization, or most cities have online resources to find volunteering opportunities. During the holidays, toy drives and food banks always need assistance.
