Mayor Andre Dickens recently named Adriane V. Jefferson the new executive director of Atlanta’s Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA). Jefferson began in her new position on Feb. 28.
A nationally recognized leader in cultural equity and arts administration, Jefferson brings more than 20 years of experience in shaping policy and fostering community transformation. Previously serving as director of cultural affairs for New Haven in Connecticut, she led groundbreaking initiatives, including the Arts for Anti-Racism Pledge.
In her new role, Jefferson aims to expand public art, support artists and position Atlanta as a global cultural hub while preserving its rich artistic legacy.
