I have a love-hate relationship with crisis PR.
In our 29-year agency history, I’ve done more than the fair share, which is a little unexpected for an entertainment, hospitality and lifestyle firm. From bomb threats to sinkholes to shootings and murders and so many other unforeseen happenings in between, I’ve tackled a plethora of problems. The common thread is people panic, get distracted and blame rather than pausing, assessing and understanding what they’re being dealt. Social media armchair quarterbacks are now reporters. The news cycle is 24 hours.
Facts matter, no matter the situation, and that’s where we always begin.
