DoorDash launches pilot benefit program for Georgia delivery drivers

by The 100 Companies

DoorDash recently launched a pilot program in Georgia that will make some drivers eligible for benefits like healthcare, retirement and PTO.

The program comes via a partnership with the benefits platform Stride and will allow DoorDash drivers who earn at least $1,000 (excluding tips) in Q1 to open a benefits account. Then, from April through July, drivers participating in the program will receive account deposits equal to 4% of their pre-tip earnings. Those deposits can then go toward retirement, health, dental and vision care, and more.

The program was first tested in Pennsylvania, with 90% of participants calling it beneficial.
