Facebook is far from a one-size-fits-all image format. If an image is not sized correctly, it can cut out key messages and reduce the quality.

Here are image sizes in pixels:

• Page cover: 828 x 315

• Video cover: 820 x 312

• Posts: 2,048 x 2,048

• Image posts with links: 470 x 246

• Group cover: 1,602 x 500

• Event cover: 1,920 x 1,080

• Carousel images: 600 x 600

• Ad images: 1,200 x 900
