The school children were laughing and dancing in their seats at “Into the Burrow: A Peter Rabbit™Tale,” a delightful musical featuring our favorite forest animals at the Alliance Theatre. The play runs through Saturday, Dec. 23.

The play is shown in conjunction with an exhibition at the High Museum, “Beatrix Potter: Drawn to Nature,” which features the life and works of Beatrix Potter – whom Andrew Westover, curator of the exhibition, described “as a bit of a nut.” The exhibit contains 125 of her personal objects.

Born in 1866 in London, Potter published her first book, “The Tale of Peter Rabbit,” in 1902.
