Student housing tower to replace Atlanta’s infamous Cheetah Lounge

by The 100 Companies

Midtown Atlanta’s Cheetah Lounge, a long-standing gentlemen’s club on Spring Street since the 1970s, will soon close to make way for a new student housing high-rise near Georgia Tech.

Developers Core Spaces and Capstone Communities are planning a two-dozen-story tower with more than 1,600 beds and 5,000 square feet of retail space. Designed by Atlanta-based Dwell Design Studio, the glass-fronted building will include a third-floor amenity deck and modern living spaces geared toward students.

The mixed-use project is expected to be completed in 2029 and will mark the end of an era for one of Atlanta’s most recognizable nightlife destinations.
