by The 100 Companies

On Sept. 15, CBS News Atlanta officially launched its dedicated local newscasts on WUPA (Channel 69), airing weekday editions at 6PM and 11PM.

The station introduces an immersive AR/VR-style studio, featuring virtual sets and hyper-realistic visuals to help explain weather, community issues and other complex stories. Anchored by Emmy Award-winning Atlanta native Jobina Fortson-Evans, bringing local insight and credibility to community reporting, broadcasts will also include weather updates, investigative storytelling and special features highlighting Atlanta’s neighborhoods.

With its debut, CBS aims to strengthen local journalism, offering Atlantans a modern, engaging news source designed to reflect the city’s diverse voices and stories.
