Vaping-related deaths increase in the US

In the past month, I’ve seen a disturbing number of headlines regarding vaping-related illnesses and deaths.

Patients typically show symptoms of coughing, shortness of breath, fatigue, chest pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, which worsen over time. The only commonality discovered between these patients is their use of e-cigarettes.

Currently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating over 500 cases of such illnesses, which have been reported in 46 states around the country. There is no single brand or device that has been linked to these cases, so authorities have warned against using any e-cigarettes until further notice.
