How is it Thanksgiving next week? Somehow, 2023 recently went into warp speed with Christmas and 2024 brightly lit ahead!
This season will be a little different – my first holiday without either parent. A topic that, depending on the day, can be met with sadness and grief about what’s no longer or excitement and hope about what could be.
And while I am so grateful for the invitations to extended family gatherings and Friendsgivings, there aren’t really words to capture the juxtaposition of emotions this time or clear plans to make it all okay when welcoming another round of firsts.
