A place of lessons

by The 100 Companies

Five years ago, I planted an edible area, including a fig tree and blueberry bushes, mostly to recreate childhood garden memories. I’ve since had an abundance of veggies, fruits and herbs.

Before spring planting, I conversed with my fig tree, which had yet to bear fruit, and said, “It’s our year, and we have a lot of delicious things to create. Jam, ice cream, galettes, figs with goat cheese and honey and more.”

I’ve found a connection to Mother Nature in my magical postage stamp garden. Do you ever talk to her? I do, she speaks back – I’ve got figs.
