Atlanta-based law firm merger set to create $1 billion legal company

by The 100 Companies

Taft, Stettinius & Hollister will merge with Atlanta-based Morris, Manning & Martin, effective Dec. 31, marking Taft’s ninth merger in under 20 years. The deal brings approximately 100 lawyers and a new presence in Atlanta, boosting the combined firm to over 1,200 attorneys across 25 offices with projected revenue exceeding $1 billion.

This expansion enhances Atlanta’s status in the national legal landscape, tapping into Morris, Manning & Martin’s already deep roots and reputation in the region. Taft now gains strategic regional strength and a stronger platform for national, middle-market growth.

Earlier this year, Taft also completed mergers with firms in Denver and Florida.
