From youth to golden years: Atlanta YMCAs step up for seniors

Most people think the YMCA is just for kids but metro Atlanta Y branches are rolling out fall programs designed specifically for older adults.

At the Robert D. Fowler Y in Peachtree Corners, “Lifelong Learners” sessions take place every other Friday, with engaging speaker-led discussions, local outings and meaningful community connections. Across the region, YMCAs also host year-round chair-friendly and land/water fitness classes, walking clubs and monthly social meetups that support both mobility and belonging.

And for those who prefer home workouts, YMCA360’s “Boomers & Beyond” virtual classes are available around the clock proving the Y really is for every generation.
