An art gallery, restaurant pop-ups and beer sounds like the makeup of Ponce City Market. However, Chase Medlin, former head brewer at Decatur’s Twain’s Brewpub & Billiards, is bringing these elements to his new Chamblee brewery.
Locomotion Brewing, which pays homage to Atlanta’s history in railroads and its literal meaning of staying in motion, will open in February. Brews will include quality and flavorful American-style beers from IPAs to cocktail-inspired beers.
The first few months will focus on distribution, but the 21,000-square-foot space will eventually feature tours, food trucks, restaurant pop-ups and art gallery.
