The Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) opened its newest exhibition, “Level Up: Pixels, Play and Progress,” this month.
Curated and created by MODA staff, the exhibit explores the immersive and changing form of storytelling in video games, examining everything from how game designers enable players to create their own narratives to how they expand the parameters of storytelling, promoting empathy and spurring constructive action.
The exhibition features 20 games on display, with visitors having the option to enjoy it at their own pace or partake in self-guided tours, with themes on inclusive playing experiences, queer-centered games, climate change and more.
