Located in the Sweet Auburn community of Atlanta, Ebenezer Baptist Church has been home to those seeking spiritual guidance since its founding in 1886.
The church is known for its notable pastor Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who helped give Ebenezer the international stature it has today. Following his assassination, the church and its square where he was laid to rest was designated a national park.
Today, Ebenezer is part of the MLK Jr. Historical Park, with the new church located across the street. With a congregation of more than 6,000 members, it continues to serve the surrounding Atlanta community.
