History behind St. Patrick’s Day

by admin

Celebrated on March 17 in observance of the death of the patron saint of Ireland, St. Patrick’s Day is full of shamrocks, leprechauns and green galore.

After having a vision of an Irish man who was in search of finding faith, St. Patrick became a priest and was sent to preach the Gospel in Ireland. He converted thousands and used the shape of a shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity.

St. Patrick’s Day became a holiday in the 17th century and has grown into a celebration of Irish culture filled with parades, music, dancing and a whole lot of green!
