From 1902 to 1986, the King Plow Company was responsible for the production of industrial equipment. In its heyday, the factory employed over 300 people, expanded to 165,000 square feet and shipped products to Mexico and South America.
But who ever said a facility for manufacturing plows couldn’t function as a music venue? In 1990, Smith-Dalia Architects transformed the historic buildings (the oldest from 1890) into a community center with galleries and work studios for artists and performers.
King Plow Arts Center now has more than 65 tenants, as well as popular concert spaces such as Terminal West.
