This year, Atlanta offers plenty of ways to commemorate Kwanzaa. Make plans to celebrate the African American tradition at one or more events around town:
• Shop Black-owned businesses at Ponce City Market’s The Village Retail Kwanzaa event.
• Learn about the traditions and stories behind Kwanzaa in an interactive puppetry and video performance by Nguzo Babies at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta. Nguzo Babies is also hosting a Kwanzaa bash featuring a puppet show, games, food, crafts and more.
• Attend the 11th Annual UjamaaFest. This event will feature a number of panels, an immersive family activity zone, cultural performances and more.
