With Daylight Saving Time ending Sunday, Nov. 3, it’s time to “fall back” by setting clocks back one hour.
Along with gaining an extra hour of sleep, it’s an ideal time to prepare for darker evenings and make safety adjustments around the home. Sleep specialists recommend easing into the change by adjusting your bedtime earlier each night leading up to the switch. Local fire departments also suggest taking this time to change batteries in smoke detectors and check carbon monoxide alarms.
As we welcome brighter mornings, the time change serves as a reminder to prepare homes and routines for winter.
