In the past year, the film industry in Atlanta has generated an economic impact of over $7 billion and is expected to grow this year.
In 2016, Atlanta was the backdrop to some of the most critically acclaimed TV shows, like Golden Globe winner for Best Musical/Comedy TV show, “Atlanta,” and Golden Globe-nominated “Stranger Things.” Our city was also the stage for two Academy Award-nominated films, “Passengers” and “Hidden Figures.”
