Facts are Facts are Facts

As a PR professional and PRSA member, I am committed to a Code of Ethics. Jane Dvorak, APR, Fellow PRSA, Chair of the Society for 2017 reminded all members of this last week in an emailed message.

Jane was responding to the recent use of the phrase “alternative facts.” Her statement included strong opposition to “any effort to deliberately misrepresent information,” and called upon PRSA members to continue to communicate with honesty and accuracy.

If we, as PR professionals, plan to continue representing clients to target audiences to the best of our ability, we cannot “spin, mislead or alter facts.”
