I’m a pretty competitive guy – especially when competing against novices and pros in local barbecue contests. Conversely, I also enjoy the competition in the business world, but not for reasons you might expect.
It may sound strange, but I strive to maintain good relationships with New South’s competitors. Why? Because you never know what might come from that connection.
I believe that you don’t always need to compete with your competition. Imagine your competitor, for some reason, cannot fulfill a client’s needs, but they know you can. Who do you think they’ll call first if you have a good relationship?
