If a man leaves earth a nicer place than he found it, he lived a successful life. Such can be said of Roy Ashley, a talented landscape architect who died Saturday.
From Disney parks, Olympics venues, the White House Rose Garden to numerous gorgeous office parks around Atlanta – like the waterfalls at Villa Christina and the marvelously forested Ravinia – Mr. Roy’s talent for fusing the wonders of nature into public squares of commerce continues to be enjoyed by millions.
He loved his work, his farm in White Plains, GA and his family, including son Ken Ashley of Cushman & Wakefield.
