I happily discovered one of my favorite sandwiches just a few years ago – not at a restaurant – but at Kevin Rathbun Steak at the Atlanta Braves stadium, available only on game days.
Kevin’s special rare roast beef is sliced thick and piled high, yet is amazingly tender and dressed with au jus and horseradish sauce, served with chips on the side. My friends accused me of overselling this wonder until they tasted one themselves.
I was concerned the sandwich wouldn’t make it on the menu when the Braves moved to SunTrust Park. Thankfully, it’s still there and just as delicious.
