Uniform Project

by

While working in the Woodward Academy Consignment Store, Beth Kempe saw the many items of clothing that were to be thrown away because of a small stain or rip. She responded by starting the non-profit Uniform Project in 2010.

Beth collects these items and other donated school and soccer uniforms, mends them and ships them to developing nations, where many children can’t attend school without providing their own uniforms.

The Uniform Project is seeking donations on Crowdwise to help pay for airline baggage overage charges and to put boxes in shipping containers. It can also use volunteers to deliver clothing.
