Eat a Peach

by admin

On Saturday, August 22, ATL Collective will cover the quintessential summer rock album, The Allman Brothers’ 1972 Eat a Peach, at Eddie’s Attic.

The album’s title comes from a Duane Allman quote: “Every time I’m in Georgia, I eat a peach for peace. But you can’t help the revolution, because there’s just evolution.” Duane died in a tragic motorcycle accident during the album’s recording, and Eat a Peach was completed in his memory.

Musicians including Micah Dalton of Dwayne Shivers will cover the album, which features hits “Melissa,” “Blue Sky” and “Ain’t Wastin’ Time No More.” Tickets are available online.
