After a strong winter for Atlanta real estate, the spring season has been plagued by sluggish market behavior. The April Cal-Culator remains stagnant at 5.7 for the second month.
While foreclosure rates are back to 2008 levels, Georgia led the nation with the fifth-highest number of completed foreclosures in the past 12 months – 33,000. Though existing-home sales declined in the South and Atlanta posted a -0.6 percent change in home price gains, pending home sales increased for the first time in nine months.
