The final day of Georgia’s 2023 legislative session, or Sine Die, will be Wednesday, March 29. Constitutionally limited to a maximum of 40 days per year, the Georgia General Assembly began this year’s session on Jan. 9.
March 6 marked the Georgia Legislature’s 2023 Crossover Day, which is the day that a bill generally must pass out of its originating legislative chamber to be considered in this session by the other chamber.
Closely followed bills being considered before this year’s Sine Die include Senate Bill 76, which would cap insulin prices, and Senate Bill 140, which would ban gender-affirming procedures for minors.
