History was made on Nov. 7 when after multiple days Joe Biden was projected as the winner of the presidential election, gaining a record number of more than 70 million votes.
As well as winning the popular vote, Biden surpassed the 270 electoral college votes needed to win the election, thanks to Pennsylvania. Additionally, Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris will be the first female, and person of color, in the role.
President Trump and his campaign remain defiant, filing multiple lawsuits challenging election results. Meanwhile, Biden and Harris have already gotten to work, focusing on COVID-19, climate change and racial equality.
