Atlantans can help fight crime in two easy steps

Operation Shield, a division of the Atlanta Police Department, has launched a new initiative deemed Connect Atlanta. With the purpose of helping to keep citizens of Atlanta safe, Connect Atlanta works by those with home security cameras giving the Atlanta Police Department access to those feeds.

By doing so, citizens allow for quicker and more accurate response times in emergency situations and assist in giving much-needed evidence to investigators. If interested in participating, you can choose to either just register your camera, giving access only when contacted; or register by integrating systems, giving law enforcement access at any time.
