covid-19 update

July marks the fifth month of the COVID-19 virus’s effects on Georgia. As of July 8, there are more than 9,000 confirmed cases in Fulton county and more than 100,000 cases in the state overall. The state death toll is in excess of 2,800, with more than 300 in Fulton.

With the recent spike in cases, Governor Kemp signed two executive orders extending the public health state of emergency to July 15. These include social distancing  requirements, a ban on gatherings of over 50 people, the mandatory criteria for business operations and the requirement of medically fragile to shelter in place.
