Lunch with a former client and longtime friend was going well until conversation drifted toward macro topics. I proffered my biggest concern was the environment and what kind of world we’re leaving future generations – whether children will be able to play outdoors in future centuries.
My friend looked puzzled and began outlining anti-climate change arguments I hear from the conservative media channels I sample. Sensing no common ground on that and other stormy subjects, I steered discussion back to family.
Imminent meteorological and political storms grow more intense. Here’s hoping our physical and relational structures will survive the onslaught.
