My father received a heart transplant from Tampa General Hospital (TGH) several years ago. Through the years, the hospital and staff have impressed me with the pride they share in being part of a world-class, Level I Trauma Center.
While watching Helene creep closer to Florida’s coast, I noticed social media videos of the AquaFence going up and medical staff moving in to stand guard during the storm. The ominous video footage of the barrier holding a 15-foot storm surge back was even more impressive.
I applaud the leadership and communications team at TGH for embodying Florida’s strength and resilience.
