If you saw football games on TV this past weekend, you weren’t hallucinating. Although the NFL season is over, the XFL has just begun.
The new professional football league has been in the works since 2018, led by WWE icon Vince McMahon. Fast forward two years, and Saturday was the XFL’s opening day.
The league currently includes eight teams, playing a 10-week regular season, followed by play-offs and a championship. Current teams include the Dallas Renegades, DC Defenders, Houston Roughnecks, LA Wildcats, NY Guardians, St. Louis BattleHawks, Seattle Dragons and Tampa Bay Vipers.
