Two Georgia residents proved they’re top dogs!

Skippy, owned by Laura and Donald Adams, was declared 2024’s Farm Dog of the Year by the American Farm Bureau Federation. After Donald was injured in 2019 and paralyzed from the neck down, Skippy helped by corralling cattle, chasing away predators and providing companionship to her owners.

Casper, owned by John Wierwille from Decatur, was named Farm Dog of the Year: People’s Choice Pup after heroically defending livestock from coyotes, saving the farmer’s sheep. After receiving major injuries in the attack, Casper made a full recovery with treatment by the LifeLine Animal Project.
