On Feb. 28 at 10AM, Amerigroup Georgia will support the national Read Across America initiative through a community reading event. Presented virtually, the storytime event will include a number of exciting readers and a puppet show for children.
Launched in 1998 by the National Education Association (NEA), the year-round Read Across America program focuses on motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships and reading resources.
With community support, NEA engages readers by featuring books in which readers can see themselves reflected, and books that allow them to see a world or character that might be different than themselves.
