Supporting Atlanta’s Black-owned bookstores

Right now, there are so many ways to bring attention to the Black Lives Matter movement and the fight against racial inequality. While you can protest and donate money, another key way to show support is to put your money where your mouth is by purchasing from local Black-owned businesses.

During quarantine, I’ve been reading a lot and thankfully there are quite a few Black-owned bookstores around Atlanta to fuel this habit. A handful of my personal favorite shops are shared below.

• 44th and 3rd Booksellers
• For Keeps Books
• Listening Tree Books
• Medu Bookstore
• Brave and Kind Books
• Good Books
