Southside BeltLine Trail to close until 2025

by The 100 Companies

Portions of the Southside Trail, a nearly 1-mile stretch located on the Atlanta BeltLine, will be closed until Spring 2025 for paving and other construction work.

The renovations began on Monday, June 19, with detour routes posted at various access points along the trail. The unpaved portions will remain open until construction starts in early 2024. Once redone, the Grant Park, Ormewood Park and Boulevard Heights neighborhoods will be interconnected, and all will have access points to the BeltLine.

These improvements will also pave a trail for Atlanta citizens to connect Piedmont Park to Boulevard just south of Zoo Atlanta.
